A Note from the Music Teachers
All the classes are working very hard to prepare for this year’s Christmas concert on Thursday, December 20. We have no doubt that they will all sound wonderful during the concert, but now we need your help to make sure that the evening runs smoothly. Firstly, please help your child choose an outfit for the evening. Students need to dress nicely and appropriately: for example, girls may wear a nice dress, skirt, or dress pants. Please consider walking on and off risers when choosing shoes! Boys may wear dress pants and either a shirt and tie or a nice sweater. Secondly, on the night of the concert, please make sure that your child arrives in their homeroom at 6:15 p.m. Do not leave anything with your child or in the room, since they will not be returning to the classroom after the concert. When they arrive in the room, their homeroom teacher will help them to line up in the correct order and get ready to enter the church. The procession will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m. starting with the first grade students. Kindergarten students will process in with their class when it is their turn to sing. We have attached a copy of the words to the songs your child is learning to sing.
Be sure to ask your kids about the songs and things they have learned while rehearsing them! We are sure that many of you have been hearing these songs at home already. Thank you for encouraging them to keep singing! If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact us: firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com .
Thank you, and we look forward to seeing you on December 20!
Sincerely, Ms. Emma Gillette & Mrs. Sara Cervelli
