School Supplies for 2019-2020

Please don't forget that you're now able to order your school supplies for the 2019-2020 academic year via this link:  https://1stdayschoolsupplies.com/kits.php?sid=116716  The deadline to purchase your kit is June 30, 2019, and kits will be sent to student’s home address.

Notes from the Gym

I hope that all of our St. Monica families had a blessed Easter and wonderful break!  This is a special time of year to spend with family and friends, while also finding time for rest and relaxation.

That being said, we are coming back from break ready for some basketball!!  We will be offering our annual Little Dribblers for 1st-4th graders starting tomorrow, and continuing into May.  This year, we are going to combine all of the 1st-4th grade boys right after school on Tuesdays, while the 1st-4th grade girls will have their program on Wednesday afternoons.  I wanted to mention that with the girls, the Brownies are scheduled to meet on the early release days.  In order to allow the girls to do both, we have added a fifth day of Little Dribblers so that the Girl Scouts could still get three sessions of the program.  With Girls on the Run on Monday and Thursday afternoons, this made the most sense.

Jim Place will be working with the boys (along with other parent volunteers), while Erin Cary will be working with the girls.  I know that this will be a great way to keep the kids active while learning basketball skills - one of the best sports ever!  If this program will fit into your busy family schedules, please send the bottom of the form to school, along with the payment.

Please let me know if you have any questions about this program.

Also, I want to send one more reminder that gym shoes are required.  This is the time of year when mud is tracked into the building from recess, which makes the floor slippery and unsafe for the students.  Please make sure that your child's gym shoes are left here at school.  Thank you so much for your cooperation with this.

In appreciate your support of everything that goes on in the gym.

Blessings, Mrs. Wallner

We hope everyone had a wonderful and relaxing Spring Break!

Thank you to everyone who has already taken the time to sign up for volunteer positions for the 2019-2020 school year. As a reminder, it is expected that each family will sign up for at least two (2) school-related volunteer positions next year. In addition, a separate sign up link will be sent shortly concerning the auction.

This Wednesday, May 1st, is our second-to-last Home and School meeting of the school year. An agenda regarding the meeting is attached. Please consider attending the meeting – this would be a great way to find out more information about some of the volunteer jobs that are available for next year!

Have a great week!

Sincerely,

Emily Horsfield and Bradley Wabiszewski,

2018-2019 Home and School Co-Presidents
